Corston Fields Festival

Millie holding fort at Corston Fields Festival 2017

We were delighted to host the first ever Corston Fields Festival here at Bath Farm Girls HQ, all proceeds went towards Marksbury School which is our local primary school and where the middle farm girl attends reception year. The team, brilliantly named 'CCF Chaos Pilots' did a super job of organising a very successful and happy event, there were some great bands, some absolutely amazing raffle prizes, a Thatchers and Wadworths tent, cream teas, face painting, arts and crafts, inflatables, a silent disco, circus workshop, a dog show, we laid on tractor and trailer rides and there were several stall holders & local producers . It was a great opportunity for us to show off our own crop of red quinoa and chat to festival goers about the crops we grow here at Corston Fields Farm.

The total tally is £5252.76 which we are all delighted at!

We can't thank the CFF Chaos Pilots and all other volunteers enough for their hard work and enthusiasm which really made everything run smoothly and safely.

Last week I was over the moon to be asked to attend the up and coming Frome Independent Market, this Sunday 2nd July. It is a fantastic local event and I can't wait to be part of it as a one-off before the silly season begins; Our barley, which is the first crop to harvest looks as though it's ripening very quickly so very soon I will have my head down harvesting and then prepping for next year's crops, so I'll be quiet on events and markets throughout the busy time. Please drop in and see us if you are going to Frome on Sunday, we'll be there with our wholegrain quinoa and quinoa flour.

Till soon, Emily x
