Quinoa sales to support the charity FACE

It's been a big week so far, finding out we are finalists in Bath Life Awards under the Health category is such an honour especially to be listed with so many esteemed businesses, it's truly very overwhelming!

We also have a big announcement to make!

Our mission has never been just to provide fabulous quinoa to our customers, we also want to inspire and educate children about the importance of understanding where their food comes from, how it's produced in the hope that it will encourage them to make healthy food choices in the future.

So we are therefore delighted to announce that we have teamed up with the wonderful charity FACE (Farming & Countryside Education).

Their aim is to educate children and young people about food and farming in a sustainable countryside;

The benefits of FACE's work include:

  • Children flourishing academically, and in health and wellbeing

  • Better relations between the farming industry and the public

  • Citizens of the future contributing to food security and environmental responsibility

FACE relies on donations, fees and subscriptions to carry out their work and we have promised to donate a small proportion of money from each pack of wholegrain quinoa and quinoa flour that we sell to support this fantastic charity.

Dan Corlett, CEO of FACE says of our support; "We are so pleased that Emily and the team at Bath Farm Girls have chosen to support Farming and Countryside Education. A journey of discovery into farming and the countryside begins with the food we eat so it's great that they will be raising awareness of our work through this British grown and healthy product. We hope their customers will take delight in knowing that by buying this produce, they are helping FACE to help children develop a love of food and the natural environment."

We also hope to organise some school visits in the future to help with some of the outdoor educational learning - watch this space!
