Fruity flapjacks

Ingredients 

-170g butter

-125g demerara sugar 

-75g butter 

-385g quinoa flakes 

-175g your choice of dried fruit, nuts and seeds 

 

Method 

-Preheat the oven to 180C 

-Melt the butter, sugar and golden syrup together until the sugar has dissolved 

-In a bowl, place the flakes and your choice of dried fruit/nuts/seeds 

-Pour the butter/golden syrup/sugar mixture into the bowl with the flakes and mix thoroughly 

-Empty the mixture into a 20x20cm tin and press firmly down on the mixture with the back of a spoon to compact it 

-Bake for 25 mins and then leave to cool completely before cutting
